GENERATION 1 CONTINUITY FAMILY SEEKERS
In this continuity family, the definition for the term "Seeker" is any Decepticon jet trooper who has the same body-type as Starscream, but with different pant jobs and sometimes variations in wing and head shapes. Seekers tend to choose the same vehicle modes.
Originals
Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Dirge, Thrust and Ramjet were the original Seekers to receive names and characterizations. Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker, however, were the first to appear in "The Transformers" cartoon and they are the three most known Seekers in this continuity, and almost every other.
Starscream
Starscream is the arrogant, traitorous Decepticon Air Commander, and the deadliest Seeker. His frequent attempts to usurp Megatron's position as Decepticon leader are often excellently planned but never succeed, usually due to his enormous ego. In multiple portions of Generation 1 (and even outside of Generation 1), after death, Starscream returns as a supernatural being. In the Dreamwave Generation 1 continuity, Starscream and Sunstorm are brothers. In the IDW Generation 1 continuity, Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker are brothers.
Skywarp
Decepticon Skywarp is a Seeker with teleportation abilities. Unless under supervision, his stupidity and immaturity makes him useless. He mostly uses his teleportation power for pranks. In the IDW Generation 1 continuity, Skywarp, Starscream and Thundercracker are brothers.
Thundercracker
Decepticon Thundercracker looks down on the flightless. He often attacks those below him for his own enjoyment. He possesses ear-splitting sonic powers. Thundercracker isn't fully committed to the Decepticon cause, unsure if he belongs where he is. In the IDW Generation 1 continuity, Thundercracker, Starscream and Skywarp are brothers.
Coneheads
The fan-dubbed term "Conehead" refers to Seekers who, after transforming from jet mode to robot mode, have their nosecone pointing upwards. Coneheads also have different wings than standard Seekers.
Dirge
Decepticon Dirge is excellent at using fear against his foes. His dark and gloomy disposition can even creep out his comrades. Few know that Dirge only scares others to feed his need to control situations. If he were to lose this control, he himself would be afraid and useless. Dirge has sonic powers.
Thrust
Decepticon Thrust wants others to know when he's coming. While in combat, he makes loud roaring noises to show off his power. There is no element of surprise while he's around. Behind this fierce cover is a coward who is quick to retreat.
Ramjet
Decepticon Ramjet has a tendency to smash enemies with his head. He has been specially designed to survive midair collisions. He believes that the sky is his, and he will often ram into anyone, neutral or friendly.
Rainmakers
The Rainmakers are a trio of Seekers with the ability to create acid rain. They were a part of Decepticon Shockwave's forces on Cybertron.
Acid Storm
Acid Storm is the only named 'bot of the trio. He is intelligent, skilled in data gathering, and potentially charismatic, though he prefers to be know as just one of the Rainmakers.
Others
The other two Rainmakers do not have names.
Clones
Some Seekers were cloned from others.
Sunstorm
In the Dreamwave Generation 1 comics, Decepticon Sunstorm is a clone of Starscream. Sunstorm has the ability to manipulate electromagnetic energy and enhanced regenerative capabilities. He gains these abilities through the experiments of scientists, or by perfect accidental circumstances, though he often believes that he is a supernatural being or the living embodiment of the Will of Primus.
Starscream clone
In "The Transformers" cartoon, in order to convince the Autobots of the "authenticity" of his Optimus Prime clone, Megatron created another mindless, remote-controlled drone, this time a clone of Starscream. The clone was controlled by whomever was wearing the control helmet, which was Starscream.
Skyraiders
Some Seekers were not always Seekers. In "Transformers: Wings Universe," Decepticon Skyquake, known as a leader in body-structure science, developed an experimental Skyraider body refitting program. The program involved modifying non-Seekers into Skyquake's variation of Seekers. Starscream was the captain of Deathsaurus' Skyraider-Seeker Brigade, until his promotion to the rank of lieutenant.
Skyquake
Skyquake was the leader of the Predators, a team of Decepticon Brutalists. He is driven by a pathological hatred for anything that isn't pure evil.
Leozack
Leozack was the commander of the elite Decepticon Breastforce and is Deathsaurus' most trusted warrior. This is because Leozack is intelligent enough to hide his ambition to be the Decepticon leader.
Hellbat
As a member of the Decepticon elite Breastforce team, Hellbat believes that he is more suited to lead the unit than Leozack. He is always trying to prove this to Deathsaurus. Hellbat is a highly accomplished spy.
Hooligan
Decepticon Hooligan's idea of a practical joke is destructive and cruel. He is willing to go far, often too far, for a laugh, regardless the target: Autobot, human, or fellow Decepticon.
Guyhawk
Guyhawk is one of the founding members of the Decepticon elite Breastforce team. He is cold and somber, hating those who claim to be perfect. He himself always tries to be perfect, hating defeat.
Others
There are many other unnamed or uncategorized Seekers.
